SLIT ENZ

Split Enz my first full production. The you start out in the music industry you have to carve your own way, I was introduced to Split Enz by a good friend of mine Brandon Lee. I was working for Ringo at the time and had the studio available to me in downtime.

I meet with the band in Manchester England for a rehearsal and we hit it off. I offered to record a few songs with the band at Ringo’s only if I could Produce as I was an upcoming Producer needing to hone my skills. I told them the worst that could happen is they end up with a demo they don’t like.

Th Band was enthused and we set the date. The band came to Tittenhurst for the recording and over the next couple of days we recorded two demos, one being ‘I see Red’ which lead on to becoming there very first hit.

One year latter Split Enz became my first full album production. The album True Colours with the mega hit “I Got You”.
